For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Our company was taken over and I was made a manager on Nov. 1st and it has been a crazy 2 months. My son who is in prototype now had a nice apartment in ladson. he said it was a new complex. He was home for 4 days over Christmas.

Comment by Cybermom on January 3, 2015 at 2:36pm: My son passed his oral boards on New Years Day, woohoo! Just got his orders, going to Groton on the USS Providence, a sub. He's happy to be relatively close to home, and can't wait to move on. Now we wait to see his grad date.

Comment by sportykr on January 3, 2015 at 12:40am: Sailor left this am for drive back to GC (left from Maryland) to continue POWER school. Arrived on base around 6pm. Has plenty of "stuff" to put away so he can get organized over weekend to get back into routine.

Have fingers crossed (I know this is premature) that he passes POWER in March and will have to get apartment (If he continues in GC) for PROTO. My next QUESTIONS: Where are there good apartments near NNPTC for him to rent and are any of these furnished,etc (says he DOES NOT want to be anywhere near N. Charleston)

Oh, and BTW, the letter I mailed him before Christmas, the one addressed with the SAME address that I have used for all his other mail, was returned to me with "unable to forward"....Go Figure. From now on, I will send everything in a box with tracking number.

We were very surprised with a phone call on Christmas day from our sailor. We have not spend a Christmas with him in many many years, and I doubt that there will be any in the future. I share this for those of you who are missing this contact so that you know that you are not alone. Stay strong, and know that you and your families especially your sailors are in my prayers.
