For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Sailor was able to come home the weekend before Thanksgiving for 4 days. A nice visit but way too short. We wont see him for Christmas but there is always skype, right. He's still doing well and has started standing watches in BS.

I've been trying to keep up with all of you by reading your posts. Welcome to all of our new members.

I've been helping to take care of my new grandson. He's a fussy little man. Please keep my family in your prayers. My daughter has been suffering terribly from post-partum depresson. Between worrying about my son the Nuke and my daughter the new mom, I'm not sure which end is up these days.

Today I am posting to ask you all to keep my sailor in your prayers today. He has an ACT board and a test. He told me if he fails either he is out of the Nuke program. He really seems to love Nuke and is heart broken right now. His dad and I will be proud of him no matter what and are comforted to know that the Navy will find a place for him either way but it is hard to watch your baby (I know he is an adult but 19 doesn't feel grown up to this mom) go through this and be so far away.

Was expecting a call from my sailor last night but got a text from him instead at about 8:15pm (11:15 his time in NY) - one of his buddies had hit a patch of black ice and spun off the road - luckily he didn't hit anything and he said he wasn't hurt. Thank goodness! There was a few of them trying to pull him out of the ditch. I haven't heard any more - he's hoping to call me today before he goes in to work.....
