For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I have been able to read the weakly notes from the Captain of that ship. He seems like a good guy who is an awesome leader. Really cares for his crew. Your sailor should like him.

It doesn't matter how many kids you have, every head is counted and the ones not there are missed. Here's happy thoughts that all works out at Christmas! With so many branches of the military, good luck. Yikes!

Comment by NancyJo (NNPTC) on December 1, 2014 at 10:57am: Prayers, please, for my sailor and his family as they finally leave BS heading for San Diego. Going totally cross-country will be an adventure and the weather in NY has been so horrible. When I spoke w/ my son last night he was worried about what they might drive through so prayers are appreciated.

It has been a nice long stay for his family w/ him being staff at the MARF plant. They made good friends. They will visit his aunt in southwest MI, then come to Omaha for about 10 days. I can't wait. They will stay with me this time as last time they were w/ her family and we felt that we didn't see each other enough. My DIL is so considerate. Then they will stop in Vegas to see his dad before settling into CA where he will report to the Carl Vinson. My Thanksgiving is coming late because it means my boy will be home!

Comment by bclmomct on December 1, 2014 at 10:28am: My son is starting back up in Prototype from Medical Hold next Monday. He'll be starting all over again. He says that is okay as he has been off 3 + months and has probably forgotten a lot. So he'll be in the group starting on Dec 8 and graduation about 6 months from then. Guess we get to go to Charleston in the summer. I think I may need a trip in March...especially if he doesn't make it home for Christmas.

BWM, mine's an ET. He's been keeping ahead of the curve so far, who knows what this next phase will bring. Fingers crossed!
