Kfguay - is your son in class 1304? My son has been in BS since sept also. Where did you get the possible graduation date?

Oh goodness CO-twin.  What a big change for your Sailor.  Sorry to hear that he has to go but really wanted to stay.  I'm sure he is thrilled to be with all of his buddies though!

BTW...I have a strong feeling my MAGIC day will be the one that our group reaches it's goal.  We'll see!  But I can just taste it!  LOL

Can't believe PIR is almost here!  SO DANG EXCITED!  I can't concentrate on all the important stuff that I need to finish!  LOL  Chicago here I come!

My son is in BS and loves it. He will be there a yr in Sept because of all the delays. Hoping for graduation on 9/26. He doesn't want to go thru another winter, lol!

Hi all. Hope your are all well. Been busy here. Had my daughter's baby shower this past weekend. Now I can relax for 8 weeks, lol. Then my little grand baby will arrive.
I have to add to NancyJo's comment. My son also loves BS. Last weekend he and a large group of guys went white water rafting. He said they all had a blast. They've been hiking and biking in the mountains also, this summer. He doesn't have a ton of off time, but loves to get out into the country side up there. He's not one for hot weather so he was not a fan of GC.
I had a chance to catch up with him yesterday. He's on mids right now and loving it. Said he's been able to get lots of check outs done so he and his buddy are even farther ahead of the pack. He mentioned that s8g is down right now and his grad date has been pushed forward. But he's almost at the midway point so he's good. He also said that he's considering OCS. I was floored when he said that. I just sat and listened to him talk himself through the pros and cons of The Naval Academy vs. Sta21. The confidence that the Navy has given him is AMAZING. I am so thankful that my "little boy" has found his way. I would never say that to him, of course. But I know that I can say that here.
Thanks for listening/reading. XO

The Minions, I printed that on T shirts for another group once.

My son loves Charleston and wanted to stay put. His text said that they are sending All ET's and EM's Are the classes mixed? or all one rate? I am wondering if the class is mixed then maybe he meant just his class, otherwise that is a WHOLE LOT of sailors going to NY. Mine after growing up in Colorado was enjoying the mild S. Carolina winters. He bought a little sports car he loves and now that will have to go and he will need a more snow friendly car. :( for him. On the up side he will still be able to room with his best buds.

Hi all - Happy Tuesday!  My son liked the change from GC to BS but he's not wanting to go through another winter in NY LOL!

Co-Twin - The Winner's Circle at Saratoga Springs is a nice apt complex to look into when your son knows for sure a move date.  Lots of sailor's live there and it's close to the work site.  They have 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apts.

CO-Twin, my son loves BS. True, there is snow in winter but there is lots to do and it's just beautiful. Also close to things. Coming from the midwest, it's amazing that Boston is so close, and the Baseball Hall of Fame. I bet your guy will love it.

Co Twinsalors mom, I haven't heard from my son yet but I wonder how he's gonna feel about that. First he was going to Ny, then right before graduation they told him he was staying in GC and now he's going to NY?

My son just texted that this morning it was announced that all EM's and ET's that just finished Power school will be going to Balston Spa. He is bummed because he Loves Charleston. At least he will be going with all his buddies.
