I'm going to talk to the colleges i'm applying at and see what they do if there is a time I have to move, whether they transfer it with no problem or if there is a fast track I can take. I could take summer classes, but going in the teaching program during the summers will kind of take away the field experiences... who knows. Thanks for the advice =)
My sailor found out he will be able to come home for Thanksgiving, I just have to pick him up =) If everything goes as planned, I may be moving up there that weekend!!! Let's hope!!!

labellaleigh-Nuke Wife - you should totally try to finish your degree. If you cannot find somewhere nearby, you should look at adult online schools like Thomas Edison State College in NJ. We found them because they work with the Navy and accept the Nuke program for credits, but the tuition is extremely reasonable and they have a very large selection of majors.

labellaleigh- there is a holiday in express close to base, as well as a quality inn that are fairly nice and not to expensive. lots of places are pretty booked for the holiday weekend, so if that is your plan i would really look into booking your room in advance though.

I'll have to look into it. I've gone ahead and graduated from college with an associates when my husband joined just in case. I transferred colleges before and knew the chance of my credits being accepted would be slim, so at least I have that. Thank you for answering my questions. I tried to talk to my husband's recruiter after he left for boot camp about these things but he wouldn't answer me back or even answer my calls after awhile. He got his quota when he landed a nuke so that is that.

It might be worth it to check how many online classes are offered in various schools in Charleston. If he is sent off before you have time to finish everything, maybe you can take the last few classes you'd need online.

Okay, one last question. I am wanting to finish my college degree and only have 2 years left. If I sign up for school in Charleston, should that give me enough time to finish? Or should I just wait until after my husband is finished with his training?

Where would a safe area be to get a hotel room? I've been to Charleston (Historic District) but I know how expensive they can be and its also a bit too far to travel my sailor back to base.
