I'm headed down to SC at the beginning of June. Any suggestions as to fun things to do or sights to see? :)

My sons car was in our name, reg in California. We transfered the car to his name, drove it to him and he got insurance in SC through GEICO but it is still reg in Calif and his licence is still Calif. Call your insurance agent about the insurance (or get advice) or he (your son) can get insurance in SC. He will have to show proof of insurance to be able to take the truck onto the base. He should know what he needs from his briefings in INDOC if not tell him to find out.

Checking in to see how you girls are doing.....:-) My visit up to see my son keeps getting pushed back (the joys of military life :-) Now he is going to fly here, visit, get his truck and attend a family reunion! :-) Its still weeks away and of course he has to get leave.....etc etc etc

Does anyone know where I could find regulations on the truck - it is currently registered in GA - with GA insurance - does he have to get SC insurance? The truck is in my name because he got it before he was 18 - I guess it will need to be transferred to his name? If figured you guys would either know - or can tell me where to look.

Hey girls! I was hoping you might be able to help me out with something. I noticed you guys talk a lot about on base housing, just wondering what people's experiences and if they have any reccomendations for off base housing. I am moving to Charleston in August and was just browsing the apartment communties in Goose Creek. So just seeing if anyone has been there, who has nice what, crime, and just overall experiences. I'm from Florida so we don't have a ton of time to "search" around, hoping you ladies could lead me in the right direction! Thank you!

Oh geeze... My husband is an ET! He's been in Charleston for a few days already until next Wednesday when he moves the kids and I down there.. we're going to live on base.. and well, I was hoping we wouldn't have to move to Ballston Spa just because our car doesn't have the appropriate set of tires for snow! :-/ I mean, I live in Indiana but we just got this car thinking we'd be ok down south haha. Woops.
