Ashley, Thank you. That answers a lot for me and the leave sounds like it could be at a good time. His birthday is two days before Christmas. I hope he's lucky enough to get it. I'm very new to this so I was wondering how long is A school and then how long is power school? It probably gives this information in some brochure I have somewhere.

Hi Ethan's Mom I read your comment but what I was really asking was if they get any leave other than weekend leave throughout a year. Thanks for your response , though.

Hi Everyone, I have a son in bootcamp that is grad and go heading to Charleston for Nuke School. Can someone tell me what kind of leave they get and when it occurs. I will have no time to spend with him after boot camp as he is to leave right away and I was wondering if there was specific leave created in their schedule when I could visit him. Thanks!

Thanks Laurie in WA. That's exactly what I've been looking for.

Does anyone have an airport shuttle they know of? I'll definitely be doing my homework on this! Thanks

I'm not even 21. But thanks though!

hi. I have a huge favor to ask someone living in the Charleston Area. I'm trying to visit in June but keep the cost down as much as possible. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to pick me up and drop me off at the airport to a hotel in goose creek? I'm willing to pay for gas too. The hotels near the airport are much more expensive than in goose creek and I'd rather stay near base too but I have no transportation other than taxis. Thanks!

4-30 is his PIR date. Battle Stations are supposed to be this Thursday so we will see... He said he is 1 out of the 2 ET in his and his brother division and 1 out of 5 who got their first choice. Now to be a nervous wreck til I get the call!

I just got a letter that my husband got his choice! He is going to be an ET! I can't wait for him to graduate now!
