Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Its been 1 year today that my 20 yr old son loaded his car and headed to OCS in newport, (wow has this past year flew by) Congrats to all the new moms and welcome to the journey

Bahharri dont make plans until he has 4 weeks left or when he tells you to make plans ,, he could be put in holding at anytime, and holding isn't a bad thing, there are lots of thing they have to go thru before graduating RLP is the first and goodluck with that, there is a video from projo that will explain a little of what he will be go thru goodluck and our thought are with you

My son turned 21 in OCS also, it was very hard not being with him or just sending him a card :( 21 is a special birthday as is very birthday being in the navy with out your family there

Most classes are dismissed after the graduation, im sure your son will have time after Friday to spend with you, it up to him and his travel plans, Congrats!!! my son had to report to his next post with in 2 weeks after graduation

OHARP is what it was called and they cancelled OHARP right before my son graduated in 05-09, he had to report right to his post also right out of OCS
and i'm not sure what OHARP stands for some of the other moms know
