Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I just want to wish everyone a Happy Easter,
and of course any holiday is sad without our loved ones, I've lived thru a sad Thanksgiving with out my son home and im sure many of you had more holidays with out your loved ones,
but remember Moms your son or daughter is with a ship mate in the same boat, so they aren't alone, it was nice for my son for thanksgiving the local church's had a holiday dinner for the boys

Make sure you go to The Creamery for Breakfast Thursday morning first lol
Change of command takes place thursday morning (that was nice to watch)that last for about 30 minutes... the Hi moms is mostly appetizers.. afew family went back to the creamery for a late dinner.. Friday morning is the family run, my son didn't get to do this because a blizzard was coming and they wanted most of the family out of RI (it was Dec19,2008) congrats again and dont forgot your son will be slimmer... that was a huge shock when i saw my 6 ft4 210 boy who lost 25 lbs and I swear he grew a foot also lol takecare and take lots of pictures

Moms - I feel your pain on the acronyms. There's actually an acronym dictionary that the Navy used to publish... no kidding. TDY = temporary duty (usually a short duration assignment away from your permanent base). PCS = permanent change of station (PCS) move. PCS means you are doing a permanent move from one base to another. When you PCS somewhere, like from Pensacola to Virginia Beach, you're moving yourself and all of your stuff to the new location. TDY, you only take a suitcase and toothbrush. :)

My son is in Athens Ga waiting to start supply school which starts April 6, He move his stuff in Jan/2009 with a uhaul to Ga and he is being reimbursed for the move, it takes a while but they will reimbursed your son
