Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

in my sons case.. yes Saturday was just like any other day,pt and etc.. his Di lived on Base so he was always checking on his class, and making them do stuff
Sunday they get to sleep in a little longer 5-6 and go to church lol they would get to call home and work on class homework or RLP stuff mostly

I got a call from my son today ...he had a very nice surprise at the Base in Athens Ga today ...
MSGySgt James Jackson Stopped by to say hi to my son and 4 others who are there from his class MSGySgt Jackson is on his way to Fl for Vacation ... he has been relocated to CA and will not be doing OCS any more for the Navy.. not sure what he will be doing..
My son got his first salute today from him.. it made me tear up when he was telling me, Jackson left my sons class 2 weeks before they graduated and GySgt Salazar took over until graduation, My son has most repect for MSgySgt James Jackson, 1 of the other enisgns who was in his class who was scared kept waiting for the... get down and give me 50 he said he didnt know how or what to do when he was there lol it was a awww moment :)

Happy snow day to ya Carole.. (Funny) my daughter is on college Springbreak visiting her Brother in Athens Ga and calling ..Mom they have 10 in of snow and the dont know what to do everyone is freaking out.. they are shoveling with garden tools lol and on the side of the highway they are sleding with garbage lids and rugs.. she has never seen anything like that before..

My son's class didnt do the family run, because of the weather and the weather in RI is about the same right now... yuckie lol
remember to go to The Creamery for breakfast or just for ice cream

We stayed at the Newport Habor and Marina.. nice hotel its 5 minutes from base and right on the water
