Hello!
We will be looking for the mom/wife/GF etc. who will be interested in creating the 11/23/2011 PIR group. Note: This PIR group will be on Wednesday because of Thanksgiving.
Probably someone who's recruit is arriving between 09/29 – 10/04 to RTC to be on the safe side. So ladies if it is something you think you'd be interested in...Friend me and send me a message.
Please remember that when I post dates of when your SR may PIR...it is not exact. I am basing it on the earliest reports and making an "educated" guess on the cutoff date for a TG. BC can be anywhere from 7.5 to 9 weeks. Your recruiter may have your recruit’s ship/division as early as 72 hours after arriving at BC.
However, we like to try to get the PIR groups going so if you DO know the date (got your form letter already, some of you get it real early...lucky dogs!) I really hope you consider starting the next one!
Thank You!
We will hold off until Monday of next week, (possibly Tuesday unless we get an actual confirmation of your recruits PIR date early on!) but you may friend and PM me in the meantime to ask questions and get details before you commit.
Just planting seeds ladies!
My son Wyatt leaves for Boot Camp on October 3rd. I was having a really hard time with this until the other day. When I found Navy for Moms and ever since then I have been handling him leaving alot better. Thanks to all the moms and their stories on here...
Hello moms! My son leaves for boot camp on OCT 26 2011.....
For everyone who has, or someday will have a sailor at sea - this is your theme song. For those of you who don't know the movie - she is the lighthouse keeper's daughter - her fiancée, a sailor, has been out to sea for 2 years, his ship is missing, and she continues to hold out hope that he will return.
In her case, her lighthouse is her blue candle - and the blue candle symbolizes the lighthouse - a light to guide your sailor home.
Hi all;
Lynn- I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, it will get better.
Dennie--The 2nd of July is a wonderful anniverisary date. Bob (Bobby's dad)and I got married on Juy 2, 1989 and were married until he passed away in 2000. May your son and new DIL have many, many more years than Bob and I had. Congratulations on a wonderful day and a new daughter to add to the family.
Kendrasue - How is Drew liking Washington?
UPdate on Bobby - he's still in port in Virginia, has become a Certified Rescue Swimmer for his ship. They are very right now, haven't heard from him since Sunday, but he called when he can.
For those of you east of Rockies, please stay out of heat and drink plenty of fluids.
Christine-- A big N4M Hug for you ((((((hug)))))) for you.

Hey kendrasue!
Thank you so much for the information and support! I will keep an eye out for new groups, and double check for one for October 2011.
Rena... :)
Hi All,
My Daughter Sydney has officially enlisted into the Navy. She is leaving for boot camp October 26th. I've really enjoyed reading through your comments, sharing lives with a common thread. I have to say I'm still a little dazed and confused even through this day has been coming for a while now. Two weeks ago she was graduating from High School, a week later we were at New Student/Parent orientation at Cal State Fullerton, and this week, she enlisted. I guess I knew in my heart, college wouldn't be "exciting" enough.
Thanks for listening,
Rena... :)
Kendra-
You really are lucky, I've missed 2 of Bobby's birthdays, one Christmas, but hopefully he will be home for Christmas this year.
I'm so happy for your good news.
Gen
