Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

mom21   you have the link to the VP 1 homepage I hope? Here it is if you need it.  Explore a bit in there and check out the ombudsman's/news pages too. Make sure you're "in their loop" to receive updates, emails newsletters.  My son is in a different VP Squadron, (stationed elsewhere), but deployed also at the opposite side of the world - but their Ombudsman keep the families informed with emails, photos, etc.  very helpful and comforting   :-)

Chris is i-level and not attached to a squadron. I will be keeping your Sailors and familys in our prayers, comfort until their safe return.

I am VP-1,  He posted something on facebook today, we haven't heard from him in person since the security measures were put in place.  I didn't like him being over there when they left and I really don't like it now.  Thanks for the best wishes, I can't wait for this deployment to be over.  Is yours VP-1?
