Jessica:  I read that in G & G  and Saturday Departures section of the A Family's Guide to Recruit Training...Check it out and let me know your thoughts.  He  is div 180 so that will probably include him either way.  I am glad he will at least know in advance.

I just realized my son will be a Grad & Go because...I believe his A school is at GL.  Boy that will make our visiting time confusing.

OMG:  Check Springhill Suites and Candlewood Suites also.  They are close by that Residence Inn.  I have heard good things about Springhill Suites (also a Marriott).

1fireteamwife:  Kari had to have meant 180 because there is no Div 108 in the active PIR groups now.

AMEN on what you said below!  Totally agree with you!

We have 4 other children and they are comeing to the graduation too. I don't think they would ever forgive me if I didn't take them. I called the Residence Inn because they have a two bedroom  suit. Well they are all booked for the weekend of PIR!!! GRRRRRR not happy.

1fireteamwife: Oops it is ship 11 div 180.  I had to go check my letter and make sure I adressed it right.

Hi BFair and kari- My son is in Ship11/ Div 180 (kari, I'm sorry is your 180 or 108?) JessicaB suggested( in an earlier post) adding your SR's ship/div to your user name. That way we can all "see" each others SR's. Hope that helps!

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on April 8, 2011 at 2:17pm

diannep- Oh my...I know! It only gets "a bit" easier as we get older doesn't it? Plus, we want SO MUCH for our loved ones! You have to "learn" to "fail"! That YOU are not a "failure" but that you failed at something and are given the chance to improve or fix it. Character builders, huh! It's so hard when you're young though! I call those times, "getting over myself".

On that note, I think the RDC's have such a job . All of RTC actually. They have to be able to weigh (along with all the criteria that is in place) if a SR is just struggling, has what it takes and just needs a bit more time, or that they just aren't suited for the life. Not an easy job. We pray for our SR's, but I guess the RTC should be included in our prayers for wisdom in their duties.

I just received the form letter yesterday PIR 5/27 Ship 11 Div 108.  I am thrilled to have his address although his comments were about how he is going to get his stuff after graduation...I was hoping for an I love you...but happy there were no complaints.
