This is the final test for your SRs. It is an overnight 12 hr drill that tests them on all they have learned and may encounter when deployed on a ship. It takes place on the Disney-created USS…Continue

Anybody have a daughter in division 182? I was hearing from her regularly but haven't heard anything since Mother's Day. Silence is so hard! She mentioned in her call that there were lots of people…Continue

If anyone has misplaced their form letter, don't bother calling the Public Affairs Office. They will not give you the password, unless your SR changed divisions. Then they will ask you for your first password from the first division before giving you the new password for the second division. Texasmom: I think this is your situation. So call them 847-688-2405 with the original password and they will verify that your SR is graduating and give you the new one.
Yes, there are a few tolls, CRF230dad. Are you renting a car? If so, you may want to go ahead and get the transponder that they will offer you so you don't have to worry about it. There weren't that many from Ohare...but there were a few.
Yes, Lisa....you are not allowed to share the password. That is why all need to hang on to that form letter!
That is an OPSEC violation for sure. Call the public affairs office at RTC. Check the website for the number.
Good Morning all, I received a letter today and my SR says that he is doing BS on Thursday 5/19/2011 he is in DIV 179. They had their last PFA on Friday 5/13/2011
Can anyone tell me where to find the pass word for the parking passes? Is it on that first form letter that we received. I am at work and I don't have that here.
Julie: There is no problem with taking the shuttles back to the hotels, with your sailor (who is usually free on the shuttle!). They run for a couple of hours after PIR is over so there is time. We took the shuttle and it was great...my son returned to his "ship" after PIR to get his pictures and we didn't see him for about 45 minutes. There were still plenty of shuttles (which are actually taxis--but they operate with the shuttle fee--$3/pp each way-- for PIR). Everyone has to decide if you want to take the shuttle or drive...and there are pros and cons for each. But for us, the shuttle was great. We were at Residence Inn.
For those with sailors moving over to GL A School base right after PIR, remember...you need to make plans for a few hours without your sailor since it takes a while for them to move/get briefed before they are allowed liberty. Make sure they have a phone card with them to call you since they won't have their cell yet. They can return to A School base after liberty with you with their cell.
For those who do NOT need to visit the RTC NEX after PIR to pay for pictures, etc, I would suggest that you go to the larger NEX over near the A School base (very close by). I understand there is much more in that NEX and it won't be as crowded.
I just looked at the Chicago 10 day weather outlook....well looks like rain on Wed...hope it moves out for Thir and the weekend!
I have to get my house in order this week! I don't want to leave it a mess...I hate to come home from a trip to a messy house....If I can get myself away from this computer!
