K

Karina & texasmom:  I really wish they would decide to start on Wednesday.  I don't like the thought of my SR having Battlestations on Sunday or Monday night and me possibly not getting a call until Tuesday when they graduate 2 days later.   And I know what you mean about the phone...I thought I lost mine yesterday (cell phone) and I was bawling and carrying on.  It took me about 45 minutes but I eventually found it at work.  This morning I seriously considered putting the phone on my arm and taping it there LOL!  I tried using a hair band to attach it to my arm.  Had it not looked so stupid I would have left it there.  Why can't you find anything to put a cell phone in to hang around your neck????

Please, if anyone gets confirmation from their SRs on Thursday afternoon that they went through BS please post it on here.  If my SR were to go through BS on Thursday and I got the call on Friday I would finally be able to breath a sigh of relief instead of being on pins and needles!!LOL

Hi texasmom, my SR told me the same thing he said BS would start Wednesday.

I guess I'll be staying close to the phone Thursday and Friday unless I get a call on Thursday of course :-))

Thanks, ProudNavyMom.  I had changed 179/180 to Thurs night after getting another date from another Mom.  This is a small PIR group, which is probably why they can wait and start on Thurs.  If it was a large one (I have seen up to 14 divisions in one)...they probably would have started on Wed.

Question asked this past Monday on the RTC Facebook page.

Will BS start early for divisions with the 5/26 PIR date? About when if I may inquire?

And the answer...

U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command:  The day earlier PIR doesn't have any affect on Battle Stations which can begin on a Thursday the week before PIR and run through two days before PIR. Up to four divisions can run Battle Stations in a single night.

I think it will be next Wed or Thurs. Not this week.

Good Morning, Can someone send the link to the facebook page again.  When I talked with my SR Sunday he said that DIV 179 would start BS on Wed. I guess anything could change but, that would mean that they would call on Thursday, right?  Did anyone get a call yesterday? I received a call from "Unknown" and I missed the call, it only rang 3 days and then stopped.  No voice mail or return call.  Just wondering.

Yes, BattleStations is only 12 hours long, but starts at night and finishes the next morning.  That is why some get confused.  I will wait for another person to confirm the date for 928 before removing questionmarks.  Some call and give the date they start; others may give the date that they make the "I'm a Sailor" call, so we all have to be on the same page.  If you speak to your SR, ask if the date given is when they start or make the call.
