What is asmoed?
Comment by diannep on May 10, 2011 at 2:45pm

texasmom:  Are you flying back on Fri or Sat at this point?  I'm wondering what the cost would be to change it to Sunday right now--in case he is held over?  I'm sure it may get more costly as you get closer, as you said.  And being a holiday weekend, not sure if the tickets are more expensive just in general.  Although oddly enough, when my son was at bootcamp and was asmoed, we had our reservations already. Thank goodness I didn't change when he first got asmoed because the PIR date they gave him was incorrect.  Turned out that he was only there for a week, not 2.  When I changed them after that week, my same flights/different dates were CHEAPER.  Never quite figured that one out...but they were $61 cheaper. We had booked until Sunday and then found out not long before PIR that my SR was leaving early Sat morning.  Kept our reservations (had already changed once and didn't want to pay another change fee) and just did some sightseeing.  We didn't even get to wait with him at the airport since I was such a newbie, I didn't know we could do that!

Yes, OMG...she would pay the difference.

Well, hoping that you get some good time in with your SR!
