Julie, the "stick" is the flag that the bearers carry in the divisions.  You can see them on the RTC facebook page pictures.  Is your SR a "stick"?

In our letter this week my SR said she was a "stick" and is learning how to march with the flag.  She also said she was chosen because she was one of the shortest! LOL  Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

Just changed my user name. Ummm...took me this long to realize it looks funny. I'm not married to "the" fire team, but it's leader!

We will be at the Navy Lodge also'

Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

YES!  I got one today!  I wasn't even going to check the mail when I got back from a graduation party, but on a whim I did, and there it was.  And it all all sorts of good news from my husband.  IT MADE MY DAY!

Texasmom:  We had little time with ours after PIR either, but enjoyed every minute of what we did have.  PIR is so phenomenal.  You will be so so proud of your sailor...especially after all he went through!  We are all proud of him!
Comment by diannep on May 7, 2011 at 4:04pm

Julie:  The "sticks" from each division carry the flags in the front of their divisions.

ProudNavyMom:  PFA is their physical(personal) fitness assessment---situps, pushups, run.  They HAVE to pass the 3rd one to graduate.  Al divisions are not on the same training days, but close.  Brother divisions are on the same day.
