It's funny. You read that "P" days "doesn't count", and looking back "P" days took a "week", (3-29 to 4-6). I had talked to my SR on Tuesday the 3-25 and asked if "P" days was over and he said not until Wednesday, making Thursday "officially" 1-1.

Uhhh...I got done trying to figure it out... ;-D

LOL!  Sorry... I didn't mean to sound all snotty in that last post ("according to my notes").  :)

According to my notes, they're on DOT 4.5 today (Fri., May 6).

texasmom:  Sorry, that last post was directed at your question.

My SR is in Div 928 and this week was "hell week".  He had his Personal Fitness Assessment, Test 2 (whatever that is), zone inspection, drill inspection and simulated firing and live ammo firing I believe.  Today was week 4 day 5 for his division. I don't know if all divisions that are graduating on 05/26 are at the same pace.  If so, that's what he had to do this week.  I have a feeling their last two weeks are going to be hectic since they're graduating on a Thursday.  Luckily they are a small training group (lucky for us too because we shouldn't have any problem finding somewhere to sit at PIR!)

Proud NaVy Mom, thank you so much for that information.  I'm pretty sure that he will be going to San Antonio.  Do you know what was going on this week for the SR?

D for Megan - My SR is in 179 so they are close.  Have a great Mothers day everyone!

texasmom: When my son signed his contract on Dec 1, 2010 it stated what he was going in for on his paperwork.  He's going into subs and I think there's only 1 basic sub school and it's in Groton.  That's how I knew early where he was going.  As far as the train taking long, I'm coming from the Gulf Coast of Mississippi (our town is on the Gulf of Mexico!) so I know what long means.  The trip is only 19 hours and a few minutes.  Most of the travel is overnight so I figure I should be (hopefully) well rested when the train gets to Chicago on Wednesday morning.  It was less expensive than flying; the only bad thing about it is that I had to take an extra day off from work but that's what vacation is for ;-)
