texasmom: My SR is supposed to fly out on Friday morning so we are planning on leaving Saturday.  We're going by train so there's only one trip every day; you have to take the time that you're given.  I'm leaving my return open-ended (although I do have the hotel reserved until Sunday morning).  Everything depends on when his flight leaves.  If he doesn't leave until Saturday, I'll definitely leave to come home Saturday cause the train leaves Chicago at 8:00 pm.  Regardless of all of that I'm not leaving until HE leaves for A school!!!!

I wanted to share the link below with all of you.  I support the Cup of Joe for a Joe program.  For only $2.00 you can give one person in the military a little touch of home.  I bought 5 cups of coffee at Christmas and wrote 5 letters to 5 miscellaneous service people (this can all be done on the website).  I got an answer from all 5 of them via email through the Cup of Joe website!!!!  It's a wonderful way to remember our military in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Won't you consider giving a Cup of Joe to a Joe today???

Thank you Lala & Diannep,

I miss chating with you ladies, when you join a new group you have to get to know new people all over again, like starting over. lol.  I went ahead and booked at the Navy lodge.  I am getting so excited. with only 20 days left it is getting more exciting by the min. I just wish I knew more.  I haven't received a letter all week. The mail just come and nothing. Are most mothers staying until Sunday?

Happy Mother's Day to the most caring, interested group of Mothers and Wives I have known. It has been a pleasure sharing this journeywith all of you. I can't believe we are nearing the end and our SRs are successfully moving toward PIR. I look back now at posts from moms and wives of SRs just starting and I am grateful to be past that. Every time I hear from my son now he is very positive, upbeat, proud and loving his division. I keep hearing they are flagging their tests/inspections and going for being an Honor Division. I am so proud of all of them and of us for keeping the faith.

YAY FOR 20 DAYS!!!!  Since we leave 2 days early I'm thinking 18 days.  It's closer (even though I won't see him for 2 more days!)

Does anyone know if there are taxi service from the Navy Lodge? I have heard you don't want to drive your rental veh because of the line is so long.

I've gotten calls whenever I do sewing on Saturdays.  So, I'm planning on starting a new sewing project on Saturday.  :)
