Azmo- the PIR date is Thursday the 26th because of the holiday

He needed to know my home address, besides my school address, and he needed to know when I graduate from college so I guess they need to know when I'll be at whatever address. He said to expect a call or whatever sometime in the future, (this background check stuff makes me nervous.) He also got to call him mom after speaking with me, and she said that he passed his swim test (jumping off the high dive) but he didn't pass his first PT test (I guess he missed it by a couple points) but they will have plenty of time to make it up within the next 5 weeks or so! He was a smoker and quit cold turkey when he got to boot camp so I am happy about that but I think some of it might have affected his ability to keep up physically but I'm sure he will be fine if he was close to passing it the first time. He also said that his throat hurt bad and that most everyone felt sick....so hopefully the sickness goes away soon and all our SRs are doing well!

Congrats ria5!  So happy you got to hear from your SR.  That is good to know about the mail.  I hope this next week is the week they get their mail (and we get ours!)  So looking forward to the mail and/or call.  I'm sure that made your heart soar!!!!  Hopefully it will for all of us also.  Let us know if you hear anything else!

Ria, thanks for the update.  I heard from my son several days ago for the background check.  It does sound like they are hanging in there.  Good to know about the mail.  I hope they get it out to them soon.

Hiiii all! I just a call from my PR (he said it was for background checks, since he will be going into CTI) but I actually got to talk with him for 12 minutes! Ahhhh it made my day! He said that they haven't been given their mail yet and he won't be able to send out mail until this Sunday since he has been so busy and has been writing a little every night. He also said the first week felt like PRISON but this week has been going by quicker and he is doing better. Just thought I'd share with you all! Hope you get letters/phone calls soon as well!
