Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Greetings March Ship date Moms!  Looks like we have a date to look forward to.  If all goes as planned, our recruits will graduate on Thursday, May 26, 2011.  I look forward to seeing all of you in Great Lakes on the new Holiday, 5/26/2011

Thank you laurelbc for making the date and division changes!  Now the only change left is for BunkerQB to change the date to 5/26 on the Main Page.

also 1fireteam if you delete it from your inbox or your sent box it only deletes your copy, not the one to your friends.

Questions -

If one of my friends leaves me a message in my inbox, who sees it?

When I reply, who sees it?

If I reply, send, and then delete, did it negate the "send"? In other words, did it not get sent.

Sorry, new to all this. I don't twitter or have a FB account.

I try to be careful what I write. I absolutely love the support here and want to converse with my "friends" but want it to stay as private as possible with them if it is a personal message. I understand that when I post on forums or groups that anyone can view. I've done the settings on my page for privacy . Just was not sure how inbox works.

Reserved the hotel :) That was fun. I have seriously never done that before because we always stay with family when we travel. So I'm learning new things too!

I am sad to hear that the sat departures will not be on friday... : ( Oh well that is just how it goes I guess!

I think I need to make a list of who is in my sons div and the names and where they are from....just so I can remember...that doesn't sound creepy or stalkerish...LOL I keep makeing statments in my sons letters about the navy moms and who I have talked to...I am sure he thinks Im CRAZY LOL oh well he would be right...LOL

joan:  According to what CRF230dad was told by Public Affairs, yes...they will fly out on Friday rather than Sat.  His post is currently on page 4 if you want to read it.
