This is the final test for your SRs. It is an overnight 12 hr drill that tests them on all they have learned and may encounter when deployed on a ship. It takes place on the Disney-created USS…Continue

Anybody have a daughter in division 182? I was hearing from her regularly but haven't heard anything since Mother's Day. Silence is so hard! She mentioned in her call that there were lots of people…Continue

added a day to our reservations...was not a big deal! but also worried about hubby having to take another day off.
Looks like it's official - they graduate on the 26th! The Administrator on the US Navy RTC Facebook page stated in 2 different places that the graduation was ALWAYS on the 26th but "some recruits" may have put the 27th on their letters. Doesn't matter to me; that's one day sooner I get to see my sailor!!!! HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Life doesn't get any better than that!
JessicaB & others - So many, many thanks to all of you who have let us know about everything there is to know. I honestly don't know how we would have gone this far without you. I sincerely hope that when your sailors PIRed that there were veteran moms there for you as well. After this I plan to be a veteran mom and join the ranks of helping the newbies on here to pay it forward. Y'all have been a true inspiration to us.
I really do hope that we get something "official" one way or the other about PIR on 05/26...I would LOVE that extra day with my new sailor!!! I've already changed my hotel reservation cause I figure Wednesday is going to book up fast once people find out that PIR is Thursday vice Friday. I don't like the idea of having to take more time off of work but it's a small price to pay to see my son and spend some nice quality time with him!!!!
I'll be eagerly watching this site and the RTC Facebook page hoping for some clarification on PIR. Thank you for looking out for all of us!!!!!
Have a fantastic day!
I also emailed the Public Service Office to confirm the PIR date. They are usually prompt in responding so I expect to hear in the morning since I sent the email after hours.
I'm thinking that the Thurs, 26th date is correct judging by what they did last year for this same weekend.
My letter also says 5/27 - did we ever figure out which date is correct?
