OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I think (knock on wood) I'm on the up hill climb now. I survived the 20 second call, the dreaded box that contained his belongings and the horrid first call that he cried almost the entire time. His second call this Saturday was much better!!! Can't wait until October 17th. He then will be headed to charleston sc to nuke school

hello all!!

mom2b--we are doing good.  getting thunderstorms on and off.

karahsmom--we took the turnpike all the way.  it just switches from one state to the others.  we used the EZ Pass.  it worked for all the tolls there.  you might want to check on it.  it took us ten hours to drive there from where we are.    we also stayed at the navy lodge for PIR.

novamom--21 more days and counting down!!

I have reservations for the Navy Lodge--we are driving from York----as much as I hate long drives--this one will be one of excitement and joy!

My Daughter wrote in her letter that the Call is expected to be on 9/24 at 4pm---I believe this will be after they are officially a Sailor!  I am praying I do NOT miss her call....
