Too funny. Maybe if they did eat Phil, they could get a Phyllis to replace him. I'm sure she'd be a lot better at predicting, and would most definately want spring.. I wonder what ground hog tastes like.......

June, I think what we need are some good recipes for Ground Hog stew. Actually, I found out that years ago they use to eat the ground hog after the ceremony. Maybe we could get a better prediction if Phil felt the pressure.LOL

Jeano, from what I understand, nothing much else goes on in Punxsutawney except for that flippin groundhog. Hopefully he's wrong again this year. I really, really need spring. I just had to cancel my daughter-in-laws baby shower, which was scheuled for Saturday, when we are supposed to receive 6-12 inches of that nasty white stuff. Nine people said they weren't coming due to the predicted snow. I blame Phil.

Carolyn, you have a heart of gold, always thinking of others. My prayers to the families and you as well.

Congrats Jeano, it's always nice when their hard work is appreciated. I'd like to go hunting with you, but I'm a bad shot and Phil isn't all that big. (just kidding)

Haven't commented for a while. But I have been reading. I would have loved to go to the last meet and greet but, we sent our son off to Japan that morning. Too sad, as we don't know when we will see him again. Our youngest was leaving that afternoon to go back to Altoona for college. Otherwise, I would have hung around to be with you. Lucky for you because I was a crying mess.
Jeano, you SHOULD brag. That is really cool.

Why did you have to say that nasty word....snow. we're supposed to get some tomorrow. Yuck. Where is spring?
Comment by LLovesmysailor on January 27, 2010 at 6:34pm
That's me, Hybernating until spring. I'm starting to look up ways to cook a ground hog, just in case he doesn't see his shadow. We are getting snow again tonight.

Hi everyone, I'm not a Navy mom from PA, but a Navy Girlfriend from PA. They don't have a Navy Girlfriend's PA group so I thought I'd join this group. I really hope it helps!

I am slowly going crazy. We have 6 inches and I can't get out of the driveway. Non of that is the problem however. My husband is working from home. I love the man but he needs to get to his office. LOL
