OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Karen, my son is currently in Norfolk. I will ask him if he will do this. What are you looking for?

Karen, I'll try and get in touch with my son, He's stationed in the Norfolk area. But he is a CTN and has a habit of disappearing on me. Send me a message on my page with exactly what you need and I'll do my best to get in touch with my son.

When my husband was in the Navy we were stationed in Norfolk and lived in Virginia Beach. My oldest is now there and just bought a townhouse. I was in shock when I realized that the townhouse he bought is 2 blocks from the one we owned. He was born down there and lived in that townhouse until he was two.

John's Mom, What will your son be doing at Dam Neck? One of my sons worked there for a while.
