Your welcome Pat. I appreciate everything that you and everyone that represented us Navy 4 moms did. I believe that you never pay back good deeds. You pass them forward. If I pass forward many good deeds they will be there for me if I need them. If I never need them, then I am blessed.

Alaina, I just got back from the Norfolk area. My son closed on his first house last Thursday. So, my husband and I spent the weekend down in Virginia Beach. We lived there 27 years ago when he was in the Navy. It was kind of like a home coming. My son's new townhouse is 2 blocks from the townhouse we lived in when he was born.

Hi Alaina, My husband graduated from the Naval Academy (in the time of the dinosaurs).LOL Have you gotten to visit down at the Academy? It really is beautiful down there.

Hi Everyone, I'm finally back from Norfolk. My oldest son closed on his first home on Thursday. We spent the entire weekend moving furniture and painting. It needs some work, but its a great investment for his first home. Its a townhouse in a very nice neighborhood. In fact, its 2 blocks from the townhouse where his Dad and I bought our first townhouse. He is now living within walking distance of where he spent his first two years.

Hi all, How is everyone doing? Not bad here. I was just reading up on everything and it is really sad about the young sailor, Michael. My heart goes out to his family.

Well on a lighter note I sure hope everyone had a good 4th of July. I just talked to my son and he will be coming home here in a couple of weeks. He is getting promoted in September to Petty Officer and then he will be an E4. I am very proud of him. He has only been in for almost 2yrs.

Well good luck to all of you mom's and best wishes to all as well.

I won't make the funeral tomorrow. Thank you for everyone who attends to represent us. Pat, thank you so much for everything you did. I sent a check today. What a wonderful group we are! I only pray that I will ever receive the same.
On a positive note: I am waiting for my son to email me with his news from Australia. He is finishing up an 8 day leave in Cairns. They where greeted by an exited crowd at 2:00 am last week. The town has been decorated with American flags and they are having a 4th of July celebration for them. He has been exited about this deployment for 6 months. The only email that I have had so far is a question for a wine selection for his girlfriends birthday. He is stationed in Japan. I am kind of jealous. "Join the Navy, see the world".

pat/jana/luanne and everyone else. I would be honored to go to the funeral with you if I am not away. We need to make a local group. I would love to meet you. I am kdconnor@bellatlantic.net at facebook.

Jana, I am planning a trip to Canada. If I can go to the funeral, I would like to go with you. Let me know your plans.

Karen, They will celebrate with some good fun and a little outrageous fun. Just no fireworks. My bet is on burgers and hot dogs.
