Thanks everyone on everything. I am so glad I have you guys to lean on in times of need and my sailors achievments. It was funny because he got a tap on his door saying he had to get ready in his dress blues and go to where ever he had to go. His thought was Oh my what did I do. Then one of the other sailors came out of the same place and said contrats and then he knew he wasn't in trouble. I had called him and he said I will call you back he had something important to do. I am very proud of him. He really tries to be good and do all the right things. It was funny in boot camp because he would do everything they told him to do because he didn't want to get into trouble. I just really miss him very much and he was home 2 weeks ago. Him and his friends are going to Busch Gardens this weekend and they are getting in for free. I was a little upset when he said he wouldn't be home for Easter but if I had a chance to go there too, I would go too. He was there once before but he just didn't know it because he was in my stomach at the time. HA HA. Well once again thanks to everyone.

My son just told me that he is up for Junior Salior of the Quarter. He had to go and talk to the first classes and he is up for an award for that. I am not sure of what any of that means because he is hard to understand on the phone but I am proud of him. He doesn't know if he got it or not but there are others up for it too. So he won't know until who knows. Well I am proud of him no matter what.

Thanks for all of your input, I greatly appreciate it. I will let him know all of this when I can get a hold of him. He hasn't paid yet so that is a good thing. He did his taxes on Turbo Tax. He needs then to go to someone and have them redo them for him, is that right. Again, thanks for everyones input. Last year he still had his old job from back home on here. I know I had to tell the local tax people that he isn't around here and he is in the Navy and they just put it in that when he does return to let them know. So that part is taken care of. Thanks again. Have a great evening.

Actually the state of PA does require that they file a tax return. They just don't pay taxes on their military pay. But they must prove to the state, annually, that they are still in the military and not stationed in the state. They must send a copy of their orders along with a return. If they have paid the taxes they can get them returned. They must pay taxes on savings or stock they own. My son once made the mistake of filing on line with the state of PA. You can't file on line if you are active duty. Marcy, that maybe why your son was asked to pay income tax. He needs to get with some one who can help him get the money back from the state.
