Maddie, you have my sympathy and I hope you are all getting through these tough times. That is sad to lose 2 people that close and I know how you feel too. I am praying for you and your son.

Maddie, I am so sorry for your loss. My mother-in-law (also named Maddie) passed away last December and my son was deployed from Japan. He could not make it home. You should be able to get a ticket for under $300.00 including taxes from Southwest but I would check for military discounts first.

Maddie, we had the same problem last summer when my mother passed away. I would suggest your son contact either Jet Blue or Southwest. They have special military fares but your son needs to contact them. He will have leave papers that specify that it is do to a death in the family. Southwest is especially good at working with our sailors. I've also heard some very good things about Jet Blue.

Cranberry is in Butler county right on the northern border if Allegheny county. If you look at the map its right where the turnpike and 79 cross. Hope that helps.

I'm having a bit of a hard day. Its nice to know that you all are out there to talk to at times like this. Although Alex is safely on shore in Groton at the moment. It is still upsetting to hear about a collision between a US warship and a US submarine. Especially when they report that sailors on the submarine were injured in the incident. It just serves to remind me that what my son does for a living can be dangerous. He is after all my youngest son.

Hey just thought I would just write to say hello to everyone and to let you know my son was home for the weekend. It was great to see him. He was home for the Super Bowl but I asked him to come home this weekend because I missed him and just felt I needed to see him. It was great to spend a little time with him. He is saving up his leave time to come home in August for the whole month. It will seem funny him coming home for that long. Well hope all is well with everyone and hope to see some of you on the 29th.

Just let me know and I will try and make it too. I am glad it will be on a Sunday and not Sat. I go to school on Saturdays. Just let me know where and what time. MP my thoughts and prayers are with you too.

All of you out east are in my thoughts and prayers. Out here in the Burgh its windy but the sun is out. So be careful. MP, I'm sorry to hear about your father. I lost my Mom last summer and I can imagine how hard this is for you. Drive carefully.
