I have still yet to recieve a form letter. Hoping my mail man will be bringing it today! I did however have my husbands recruiter check again today to make sure his address hasn't changed and he said his perm was Ship 09 Div 145 :0) So I hope to find others in this group who have loved ones in this Division. Best wishes and prayers are with you all!

Hi Jessica,
I did get the form letter two days ago, and this is where my son is as well. He is undesignated. Does your husband have a rate?
I recieved my form letter about an hour after posting this :0) I am still trying to remember military language! If rate is job then he is going to be a STS (Sonar Technician Submarine) Maybe they are friends :0)
I know what you mean about the military lingo...I have learned a lot of the Army lingo b/c hubby is career Army but now have to learn how to talk Navy! Sounds like there are 80 or so in a division, so by the end of this they will know each other for sure:). I was just reading about the Cruisebook/photos/Keel and wondered if that is a 'must have' like a high school yearbook. I guess I need to ask him.
I am having my husband go ahead and purchase Package A so that we don't have regrets about not getting something later. If that is what he wants that is :0)
Rate is where an enlisted Sailor stands in the Chain of Command. It is also refers to their Pay Grade...so Rate/Pay Grade. E-1 to E-9. Rank is for Officers.
Rating refers to Occupational Specialty...Job. ;-)
Hi Jessica,
My son Andrew is on Ship 9 DIV 145 and would love to connect with the same.
I received his letter today and am thrilled to be able to send out mail to him from myself, husband and his friends that have written letters.
Wondering if my son knows your husband.
Wishing you all well
donna
Maybe they do :0) I am very excited to have all of his perm info. He also wrote me a little note on the back that was so sweet <3 It made my whole day! Glad you have recieved your info as well!
Hi Jessica, What day did your husband leave for GL?

Carol
Hi Carol,
Any word from your son yet? I've only rec'd his form letter Thursday. Can't wait for the first call or letter.
donna
Hi Donna,
No word yet. I too received his form letter only. From what I am reading on this site I think it will be a while. Not taking any chances though. I forward my home phone to my cell whenever I leave the house. I can't wait for a call or a letter too.
Carol
