OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey there! Just a place for family of SRs in Ship 09 (USS John F Kennedy) Division 146 to get together and chat, ask questions, and discuss whatever. :)  I'm new to this, so anyone who has a heads up on anything regarding the ribbons (LaLa Ribbon Queen I believe is who we need to contact) and stuff like Sarge's Meet-and-greet, feel free to enlighten the rest of us!

Curious about WHERE exactly at RTC your recruits barracks are? Check out this diagram of the RTC.

Well, we won't be hard to spot at the Meet and Greet: I'll have a red-headed daughter who is now on crutches...again! Same knee injury as before; this should make airline maneuvering fun! Oh well ...

Only 3 days to go!!!! Who's freaking out because they're so excited????!!!!! lol

I am freaking out as well!!  lol I have butterflies in my stomach thinking about Friday!!! I can't wait!!!!!

I am so read,y clothes are packed and in the car, leaving tomorrow. I have been ready for days...We have a 12 hour drive ahead of us.. Good Luck everyone safe travels..

We are looking at 15 hours. So worth the trip, what a great Mothers Day this year! Travel safely everyone, see you at Sarge's

We are sooo excited and freaking out to! We are flying out of LA tomorrow. See you at Sarge's meet and greet. Have a safe trip everyone!

Safe travel everyone! Our family of five will  fly out of LA tomorrow night as well. Tomorrow will be a busy day for me. Laundry in the morning, finish my shopping and packing. lol. and then last but not least is nail shop and hair salon.

How many are going to be at Sarge's Meet & Greet???

I'll be in my blue Navy shirt (say's "Wife" on back, but if my hair is down, won't see it), probably my green cardigan if it's still chilly. And maybe my black & white purse with the bright pink "kiki" on the side of it, and PIR ribbon! haha

Also, the 4 year old boy with me. He'll probably be in his camo pants and blue navy shirt too. :)

Anyone get phone calls from your Sailor yet today?

Nope : (

My daughter in law is very disappointed.  He had told her he would get to call today. I keep telling her we will get to see him in 2 days. She's still waiting.

My husband never mentioned a phone call today, as far as he knew the call on Friday was the last one : /
