welcome connie and hope to meet you at PIR if you have any questions the vertran moms on the main PIR page are great to answer them.
'll have to start checking back daily...glad I found this group!  My stepson is in this DIV.  :-)

So.... I'm doing a HUGE happy dance right now. Just got 2 letters from my SR. (my first ones.)

He sounds so happy and content.

Passed his 3rd class swimming test, so that is one big milestone towards PIR. Even doing fantastic on his 1.5 mile run timing.

Said they can receive mail any day, but only send mail on Sundays. So for those of you still waiting, hope that time frame helps a little.

He also thinks all the guys he is training with are "cool'.

Good to hear blondfoxe. I received 3 today. Im happy we can start receiving letters weekly!
I got one from my SR too.  He sounded great, says they are doing goo.  He has passed all of his tests as well.  Welcome to the group MandySue72.  Don't for get to check in on the main PIR 10/14 page as well there are several veteran moms that are great with questions you might have.  Congrats on the letters all.  I know we are stalking the mail person everyday waiting for those letters LOL Good thing I know ours well or he would think I am crazy or something.
Thanks!  We got a letter today from our SR.  He's sounding well.  I'm kind of bummed because he was able to call his girlfriend this morning, but she's a senior in h.s. and her teacher wouldn't let her answer her phone.  By the time she got to it, it had stopped ringing.  However, she received 8 letters from him today, and that lessened the sting!!  She sounded much happier after that, which made me feel good!  :-)  Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Walking on cloud nine right now.

Just call a call from my SR. They were given 1/2 hour of phone time. Was supposed to be 1 hour, but somebody goofed up on something, so their priviledge was cut in half.

Was FANTASTIC to hear his voice. For the first time in my life I'm glad I have a cell phone. (My eldest son insisted he get me one through his plan about a month ago.)

So Mom's you should be getting that first phone call soon, if you haven't already.

Can hardly wait for PIR.

p.s They got their first flag yesterday: for scholastic achievement. YEH !!!

Just got a call from our son!  He sounded really good!  But the phone did not work well and we could hardly hear him!  Wish some one from our division could win the contests on Monday or Tuesday so we could get a picture of our guys!
What's the contest you're talking about?
Gonna spend some time checking these out this weekend!!
Im getting my call....
