~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Veternan Moms I have a question for ya! I know Graduation is inside but is the Ceremonial Hall heated? I have seen pictures and saw the big doors that open up outside. But I just need to know if it is going to be really cold inside like it will be outside? Trying to figure out my outfit to wear!
Bella7177- Thinkining about it now I wish I had booked our flight to Leave on Sunday th 13th too just in case my Husband stays through Sunday. Flights seemed more expensive that day though, and I will be traveling with his Aunt and our Gma, and they didnt seem to keen on staying all that long. :/ But I guess I'll just hope for the best! But I'm glad they gave you Thursday and Friday off! I work for a Law firm and was happy they gave me three days off! I talk their ears off about my Husband and Bootcamp, so I'm sure it will be a good rest for their ears!! But yes I will definitly be at Sarge's Meet and greet! Will you make it in time for that?
Morning Ladies,
I have a bit of a dilemma that I could really use some help with.
I received a letter from my SR - dated Christmas Day - it read...
"Mom, as you can tell by the date, it Christmas and the only thing that I have to give you is my heart (origami) and this letter - so I am writing to you now. It's funny how things change, if I were not here in bootcamp, there would be tons of gifts, food and celebration. But hey, a buddy of mine bought me a new boot polish rag for Christmas. I would have never thought that a rag would mean so much, but when people go back to being caring individuals and seem to want to make others feel better for no personal gain, a shoe rag is much more then that."
Well, as you can imagine, there wasn't a dry eye in the house as I read this letter from my son.
Here is the catch. I would love to do something special for this SR that made Christmas bearable for my son, as well as, share with his family what a difference he made in ours. I do not under any means want to violate OPSEC, but I would like so much to find a SRs mother that may be here on N4Ms.
How could I do that? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Good Morning All! Happy New Years Eve!

Kathy, I'm not sure if they can tell you that, but you may want to call the Photo Lab next week and ask them. Maybe they can look up the order and see. 847 578 6205
The only way to know is to ask them in a letter or if they call.
