When we were up there in Feb 2010, it was in the teens at night, 20's during the day.  Snow flurries on PIR Day, but not bad.  We are S FL people so not used to the cold, but it really wasn't that bad since we were dressed warmly!  If windy, that wind off the Lake can be quit chilly though, so layers are suggested!   There is some walking to do on RTC and you want to be dressed for it.....I wore boots/nice jeans/layers w/jacket and was fine!

Luvmyblues, mindyeus, thanks for sharing your letters! Exciting. We are getting so close! Luvmyblues, I hope your SR is feeling better. That is so awesome that he is talking about the Scriptures. I think it has been good for my SR as well, to be on his own like this. It seems to have helped him draw closer to the Lord. Just for that alone, this experience is worth it!

Good Morning everyone!!  We received a letter from our SR...he has requested envelopes, that was his last one.  He seems like he is doing well and excited!!  Can you guys believe 12 more days?  I pray our SRs do well during Battlestation 21.  I hope to get the call this weekend what day he will be going thru that evolution.  I love him so much & I know all of the SRs are working so hard to achieve this very important goal!!  Hooyah Navy

Good morning My Peeps, hope everyone slept well and is getting more more excited as I am, I'm sure. I received a letter from my SR yesterday- he's sick but overall - all is well. As he was writing, He was on his way to service a second time and he's been mentioning the scriptures - I was like ---- Whhaatttt!!!! - There's a GOD above and Navy Boot Camp - I LUV YOU!!!! Good morning all ,we're getting closer! I received letters from my SR yesterday. He said they are doing good. He said there is lots of snow and it just keeps snowing. I'm from Wa State so we are used to some snow, but , it's worse than we have seen. He said there are some who have never seen snow before and some were caught playing in it. They got IT'd for that which is kinda sad, I think, but oh well! The last letter was dated Jan 4 and he said they were going into Hell week, but he was looking forward to it because they will be busy and the time will go by faster. He said they were told two more phone calls. One this weekend and one after Battleship 21. So keep your phones close this weekend and we will pray for calls! Two weeks from today, Ladies!! Wahoooooo!!!
