Starfish, I heard from a few moms in that division and they all mentioned your cards....Wished I would have done that for my SRs division. Thanks for being so thoughtful.

Jenn & MarNavyMom, you are  welcome. I am so glad the cards were appreciated by the recruits. I know it was tough for them to be away from their families at Christmas. And yes-I live with my phone attached at all times-lol! Thanks for the news that we might receive a call!

Starfish,

Yay!! Thank you for letting us about the cards and the notes and everything you  wrote! My son was not one that wrote back to you but I know he appreciated the card.

Starfish I thank you for sending all of those cards to the division. I bet it made their day and was very kind of you to do. I received three letters from my SR today . Ship 03 DIV 073 he sounded great in them. He said that his division was doing much better and that he has net a lot of great friends. My SR said that the food they served for Christmas was pretty good. In his last letter that was dated 12/28 he mentioned that they might be getting a chance to call home on Friday which would be today and to keep my phone close. Little does he know that I never go anywhere these past couple of weeks without it..lol I pray for this to come true and for all of us tonight and hope they get to call.

Peanut820,

I'm so glad your SR's sweet girlfriend let you know he had called too~~

Hi all, I thought I had already posted this, but I don't see it on the board, so I will do it again. I received some letters from my SR in ship 03 division 73. I had sent about a hundred Christmas cards with personal notes written in each from coworkers and friends.they got down in time for Christmas - yay! Also, several wrote back. Ihave names of 4 SR's that I will put initials in. If you think it might be your SR message me and I can fill you in on what he said. First I have DJP from Newsburg, NY. Next is MKN from Oak Grove, AL. There is a JAJ ( no hometown mentioned) and the last name of a SR that begins with F and ends with i.
basically, they really enjoy the letters and Christmas cards. It meant a lot to them. Also my son said the division is doing well. They are passing their inspections and looking forward to graduation. He also said that they played Christmas music for them at Christmas and although they were home sick they had a great Christmas dinner and shared letters from home with each other and it helped.

Well Peanut820,

I am glad to hear that he got to make a call. I hope we all get calls too. Thank you for the information.

Ship 04 Div 804 Well I stand corrected. Our SR did get a 60 second phone call yesterday. He called his girlfriend!  Who can blame him, she's blonde, beautiful, and sweet to the core. lol  He loves her to pieces and so do we! She said he thinks they may get a call next week too.
