Great letter, 1misskitty!

Happy New Year Everyone!

I got a letter from my SR today, he had written it Christmas Day. He was great full for the Christmas cards, they made him realize that he was at the halfway point. He also said "It's odd I'm not as sad as I thought I'd be my first Christmas alone and yet I'm not. It's starting to grow on me. There's a bunch of misfits that I call brothers. I went from being born an only child to now having 79 brothers." As a mother, I take comfort in those words. I know he is doing fine. As a navy veteran, it is wonderful to know that this group of guys is coming together like they are supposed to. Div 070.... All have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy New Year all of us with a SR!! This has been a hard journey and I will be glad when it is 1/23/2015 but having all of you and making new friends has made this difficult journey much easier more than words can express!!! Thank you!!

mindyeus:  If you are talking about the sailors at GL A School, it is not complicated for them to leave for Liberty from the base.  Of course, those flying out will only leave the base that once after PIR and then they will return later that night and be bussed to the airports to wait for flights.

Happy New Year to all my new Navy Mom (and Dad) friends.  May 2015 bring health and happiness to you and your families.  And that our SR's have a very successful remainder of their boot camp experience and the start of a wonderful and exciting career!  See you all in January!
