DeeDee, my SR has told me numerous times that the division is rowdy or not paying as much attention to things. The good news is, he said they are starting to work together as a team and pay attention and settle down.he also said he finally feels like they are going to make it as a whole so that sounds like good news.

Ugh I hate hearing Div 073 having issues!!! Hopefully they will get it together!!!! Didn't understand what a Push division was had to google it....interesting they move faster...I think there will be a lot of things in the navy that I just don't get!!!

Brandon's Mom,

It's okay.  Your SR is probably in the intense training part of Boot Camp.  So no phone calls till a division is doing well and still up to the RDCs.  Just keep on sending your funny, interesting, encouraging letters to your SR~~

I never received my letter this past week (or a phone call) feeling very down! As far as a rental car, I booked through Payless Rentals, they were one of the ones in the flyer we got with the form letter. I got a mid size car for $16 a day and are located right at the airport.

MarNavy:  Yes, it is totally up to the RDCs as far as when the SRs can call.  My son was delayed a week when up there....so was in 2 different divisions.  The first one....lots of calls....the 2nd one, hardly any calls.  So you never know.  They can earn calls last moment, so it is best to have that phone glued to you during Bootcamp, even during trips to the bathroom and out to get the mail!  

On the rental car, try Enterprise too.  For those who book their flights with Southwest Airlines (into either Milwaukee, 45 min drive to GL, no traffic, cheaper car rental usually....or....Chicago Midway....hour+ to GL depending on traffic)....Enterprise sometimes offers a discount if you are flying with Southwest.  Southwest would notify you of this.  Remember, Southwest has no change fee if your SR is delayed and 2 bags check for free!  :-)
