http://navyformoms.com/events/sarges-meet-and-greet-thursday-01-22-...
Good Morning All !
Good Morning All! We received out 2nd letter yesterday. He wrote it on 12/15. He sounded very upbeat and really pumped up about everything. He said they would be having a busy week this past week. They would be having their 1st Academic test on Thurs. and their 1st inspection on Fri. He said he now sees what I go through folding clothes now, that it gets old quick. He said their chief said anyone that made a 5.0 on the test (the highest you could make) could have a 15 min. phone call so he had been studying really hard because he wanted that call. He also said he and his good friend at BC, had been talking and that being away from their family was extremely difficult, but if he had to be far away from his family he was glad it was for what he is doing. He said he can't wait to stand before us at graduation in his dress blues and give us the biggest hugs, He said this will be the proudest moment in his life. The he left us with some words of encouragement and motivation.
Question: How do we RSVP for the Meet & Greet?
LuvMyBlues,
We so love helping you all!! You're most welcome~~ :)
missy123,
That is the ultimate blessing when our children's walk with God is strong and sure!!
Hello CatMom!
One of the Bible verses I'm clinging to right now is the latter part of Proverbs 13:12... "Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: BUT WHEN THE DESIRE COMETH IT IS A TREE OF LIFE."
My son closed his letter with 5 Bible references, mostly from Psalms and Proverbs. His strength gives me peace!! I always thought it would be the other way around, LOL!
Hello All!
"The Lord on high is mightier than the noise
of many waters, than the mighty waves
of the sea."
Psalm 93:4
Dachshund28 - It is actually either 7105 OR 3156.
Use the one your Recruit gave you.
Your letters may have just crossed each other as he just may not have gotten it yet.
7105 is actually the Building number of Ship 02. All of the buildings on a base have a number associated with them.
Dachshund28- my twin and I talk all the time. We are very close. We live three hours from each other but make it a point a see each other all the time. Especially on birthdays (every birthday spent together, never apart) which is why I can only imagine how hard it must be for both of them, again especially on their 21st (that was our favorite one!) But at least for me, being a twin is totally different than being a sister (we have another sister). You just feel closer and they literally are your other half. I'm sure they will do just fine being apart, it may just be a little hard. My husband is doing well. He says it's getting a littler easier and all you need to do is listen and you'll be fine. He says the PT is getting harder because many in the div did not fully pass. He says his div is full of great guys and they have all become pretty close/ lean on each other. He said it was hard at first because of the age differences throughout the group, but that everyone is learning to be "a family/team". Which is great to hear. It was good timing that you posted it's his birthday tomorrow. My husband knew exactly who I was talking about when I said he is a twin and it's his 21st so he said he would be sure to wish him a happy birthday from everyone at home. Stay strong.
