I just want to add that those letters were a complete shock, I didn't think he would write either. The part about "mom please stop worrying about me cause I'm ok" really hit home those words are words of encouragement to me and to all these great moms out there. He also is one of the older ones he is 22 years old sooooo all I  Got to say is hang in there letters, phone calls and graduation will all be coming soon!

IM28,

Are you sure it's not in the pocket of his jeans, jacket pocket, backpack pockets, or inside his shoes??

He should be calling you this weekend (or his mom), then you can ask him directly is he sure and where did he put it?

Welcome, Briana!  Hooray for contact from our SRs~~  :)

That's a cute pic of you and your SR, but I need to ask you to please change it to one without him in it.  Sometimes the Recruit Division Commanders (RDCs) get on here to look for information posted by loved ones to "freak" the SRs out, so best to not give them a way to id SR's info via pics, last names, or unusual SR first names.  Thanks for your understanding~~

Anyone on here with a future sailor planning to attend A School in GL and you are planning to stay at Navy Lodge for PIR?  If so, please friend request/private message me for some info.  Thanks!

Before my son left for Bootcamp back in 2009, he told me he wouldn't be writing because he "doesn't do that" but would call when he could....well, he wrote me 5 times too, so never say never!  They live for letters from home....but don't find that out until they get into Bootcamp!  So non-letter-writers maybe have a change of heart!

My SR isnt one for writing eitber. Even when hed. Text it was one or two words.
