I have an issue. I called his recruiter yesterday to ask about his passport. He picked up and said he will call me back but never did. And I am so worried because I do not know if the recruiter have sent the stuff he needs. I know I am just the girlfriend. But we have been together for 7 years so its so unfair how people are treating me like I am just no one.

I have heard that if you book at the Navy Gateway on base, your recruit/new sailor cannot visit with you at the hotel.  Does anyone know if this is the case.  The ad is in the brochure.  But I called and the reservations personnel told me this was the case.  I don't want to book there if my graduate can't chill out in our room after graduation!

My son also is Ship 02 Div 911 but no calls yet

I got my first real letter from my son Wednesday, he said in his letter they onky gave him 20 min. To write. He is doing well and is ship 02 div. 911. He said he is Rail Guard for the 900 division.

Having a calling card means they should be able to call, but no guarantees.  Some SRs have been on watch when their division has called and it is up to the RDCs to give make-up calls. Some SRs will pick up a calling card from the NEX, some may be given a calling card code from www.callsforrecruits.org from another SR.  Those are emailed for free from them and they asked that they be shared.  Each code gives you 20 minutes, which includes diealing to get the call connected~

You got 7 sentences from your SR, but one of them said he was Honor Guard Commander??  That's outstanding!!

I just got my form letter from my son a couple of days ago. He's on ship 4 div 804. I'm anxiously awaiting his first letter. So nice to have a place to connect to all the other parents out there going through the same thing.
