Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thank you, Catmom509-I haven't heard anything from him other than his box and form letter- but they were both so good to get! I guess I will lok at tickets again today and maybe next Tuesday since yesterday was a bust-lol

The airfares are supposed to be lower on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Avoid buying tickets on the weekends~~
On the wisdom teeth, the only way your SRs let you know ahead of time is if they include it in a letter or they happen to get to call you before a scheduled appointment~~ They don't call you specifically to tell you about that only. Don't worry--those 2 days SIQ in bed getting rest and sleep while being carefully monitored is like heaven to them!!

Starfish 1 - If by "they" you mean RTC, no they do not.
However, if it is scheduled and you happen to speak with your Recruit before then, then your Recruit may let you know.

I have to say it again, I am so thankful for this group and each of you! Knowing I am not alone with my crazy feelings helps. I am so excited for my son and feeling so lost too. yet, it helps knowing I am not alone. I find myself crying with you and celebrating as well! Now we are looking forward to a phone call and graduation. Thanks to everyone who responded to my questions about mail. I do have another question-if he is going to have wisdom teeth pulled, do they let us know ahead of time?

ladies I am excited to join this group. I was excited to see that form letter come today my heart filled with joy to see that handwriting It made me feel alittle closer to my boy. I have been reading about the 900s and what a great group of kids that my son is blessed to be a part of. He is ship 2 div 911 so I welcome any of you to reach out at anytime. I am looking forward to seeing everyone and especially my sailor in January!
