Hello MommyLinda.  He was in band and choir in middle school but he had a very high ASVAB score.

I'm so very proud of him.  <3

Hello Melanie, my boy is also in 02 ~ 911. From my understanding they are Honor Guard. Did your son perform drill, band or choir before joining? So proud.

The problem with mail going to RTC is that they have their own mail facility there.  So....although the US Post Office may deliver your letters to RTC in a timely manner, they can get held up at the RTC facility at times.  Nothing you can do about that....eventually they all get to your SRs.  I read of people who write every single day and don't now why their SRs are not receiving this mail each and every day.  That is why....they most likely are receiving multiple letters on a day and then none on others.  Just keep reassuring your SRs that you are writing constantly, but you can't control when they get there!

...that is, depending on our mail service, CatMom !  Not sure what others are experiencing, but our mail service in my neighborhood is horrible now...we now receive other people's mail (I received wrong mail for two different people in a delivery this week!)  and some mail takes forever to get here.  Frustrating!  So.....Monday mailouts from RTC can result in letters received anywhere from Wed-Sat depending on where you live and mail service reliability! :-)

Good Morning!

Starfish1,

Mail typically takes about 3 days to arrive at RTC, so since you mailed your letter on a Monday, it will arrive this Thursday.  Your SR's receiving the letter on that day will depending on whether the Recruit Mail Petty Officer has been trained yet.  Once that occurs, your SR should start receiving mail like clockwork~~
