Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I received letters this week also. I don't know how many times she said "keep those blue candles burning!" They are in the thick of it I gather. She asked me to ask all of you to keep your candles burning for all of them. She said "I know your friends on N4M will help us succeed cause Navy Moms are the bomb!"
So I'm asking y'all to start burning your candles, all of these SR's in every division need us!! Thanks in advance!

Congratulations on the moms that got to catch a glimpse of their SR's today:)) I am sure you are over the moon:))) We will all be on cloud nine in about thirteen days and thirteen hours:))) I did get a letter today . Thankyou, diannep , I wondered if we would know that he is a sailor before we start to make the trip.... I know he has his heart set on doing well but I could also tell that he is a little worried and wants everything to be perfect . Lets all pray hard for our SR's ... without knowing I am thinking there are some intense training going on for them right now . Thankyou, ladies!!!

My PIR ribbons came today, Oh my gosh they are beautiful! LaLa Ribbon Queen sure does know her stuff! I can't wait to show them off at PIR...13 days but who in the heck is counting?!! lol

I am soooooo excited! I didn't' get to see the live performance, but a woman at work watched for me and sent me the photos and I have some PERFECT shots of my SR!!! Nothing can take the grin off my face right now. Praying all goes well for all families this weekend and that the time with their SAILORS! is all they need and more!
