~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

For more general BattleStations info, please check out the BattleStations discussion group above in the Forum.
Momof4: 067/068 will start off this PIR group in BattleStations....we cannot post exact dates on this site (but can private message them)....but yes, the PIR groups usually start BattleStations on Wed or Thurs night, the week before PIR week, so your estimate is probably correct!
jamieRN: My guess is that many of you will receive another call before the I'm a Sailor call....fingers crossed!
Hi everyone, I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year :) I am hoping to be spending more time here now that things have kind of slowed down a little around here. My Sailor got her leave extended because of my moms passing so I am glad to still have them here with us. I am getting all the loving I can from my grand baby Eastyn. She is an angel and I know my Mom is watching over her now <3 They will be moving to CA in the spring to their new base and I have to get in as much time as possible. The long 4 day weekends in VA Beach will come to an end and CA is way to far for those quick trips. But, my hubby being the amazing man that he is bought me a round trip ticket to CA in June to spend two weeks with them :) When I saw what it was I was shocked, excited and scared all at the same time. I have never flown before lol.
Finally received a letter from my SR today! Said he is missing us and ready for boot camp to be over! He's not the only one! Was so happy to get the letter since we didn't get a call yesterday!
Do you all think we will get any more phone calls before battlestations. I hate to sound spoiled because I know we were so blessed with the two phonecalls we got in our camp . Thank goodness!!! Thankyou for burning the blue candles for our SR's . God bless!!
Erin - message me with the info for the boys without mail. I'll send some too!!
Had my blue candle burning all day today in my office for the 24/01/2014 PIR Group. Hang in there momma's, we're getting close!
Thank you Ellen0502. So would I be correct in assuming that the SR's in Div 067 and 068 will most likely begin BS somewhere in the neighborhood of January 15th or 16th?
A's momma, I would love to send a card/letter to those SR's as well. Please send me the address's as well
