For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 069 and 070.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Received my first letter from my son yesterday...ship 11 div 69. He's sounds well, but is complaining that his group is very immature ( he's 22), and undisciplined. Hope things turn around for this group and they work together!

First letter today.....mostly about priveleges being taken away.....sounds like a tough crowd.

I am from Colorado and she is 20. She said they are an integrated division, and she is grateful that there are fewer females.

My son is almost 22, Ducky and we are from New Jersey. What is an integrated division??

I'm not really sure, she just said that instead of 80 females in her division, there are 40. Said it cuts down on the estrogen...:)

Overall it was a funny letter, her sense of humor is intact. But she said they lost privileges right off the bat, so I hope things get better. I've heard other moms saying that their older SR's are also frustrated with the immaturity levels.

My son is very serious to begin with, so I'm sure he's very annoyed with the ones who are acting out .

My daughter is not one to act out, she is there to get the job done and move on....so I'm sure this is bugging her too.

Hopefully, the younger ones will look up to the older ones and follow their lead!

It might depend on a number of things. He may have been on watch during the first letter writing session on the 9th. They may have had privileges taken away. He has probably received the letters but their time to write is very limited. Hang in there, you will hear from him.
