For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 071 and 072.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

I got another letter today and it was so reassuring, he is beginning to understand the whole teamwork concept and is showing pride in their accomplishments. They pulled two of his wisdom teeth but he didn't miss any work or class and he was really proud he hung in there as I am too. He got a Second Class Petty Officer Collar Device for his motivation and hard work/time put in. He said getting called for mail is one of the most important events for all the SR's as well as getting pictures. I'm sorry if I seem to be boasting but just a month or two ago all of this would have seemed like a fairy tale and it makes me so proud and happy to see that he has realized his full potential through the Navy and the help from the rest of men and women in his division. Keep writing them letters.

Ship 12 Division 72, we got a very short letter today from our son, it was 7 lines long and claims he is doing well but barely has any time to write. This is a quote so pay attention because I would bet the rest of them have this opinion, "Every time I get letters from you guys it instantly makes my day/night! Keep them coming I enjoy hearing about your daily lives! I love you both with my entire heart and am proud to be your son". Send them letters, they need them.

Superjames.... We have received 3 letters and 2 phone calls and they all say the same thing as your son's Keep the letters coming and how much they mean to him. My husband and I are trying to alternate writing to him every other day. We got a little behind with the holidays. Half way through! Kathy

That is so sweet. We have received 2 letters and 2 calls, and our son has also written his girlfriend, and a neighbor who wrote to him. I write every day, but I don't expect a letter or call - they are too busy and no news is good news. I wrote my son and told him that we love his letters, but that it was more important for him to study than to write to us. Trying to keep him focused and prioritized. <grin>

Hello Everyone. Just checking in. I received another letter from my SR today. It was the highlight of my day. I can't wait for PIR but not looking forward to the colder weather. I have sent at least four more letters since Tuesday and his little brother has sent one also. I think this might have been Hell Week so I assume things were pretty intense and he will get to write soon and let me know how he did. Hope to see everyone at Sarge's Meet and Greet :)

We have received 3 letters and 2 calls. last week our SR wrote to his Great Aunt so I had her read it to us. It was great and he told her how he liked getting letters from home. Yay me!

That's funny you ask that question. My ex wife (and friend) will be up there the same time I will and she asked me if I and my two older kids wanted a yellow ribbon to wear and I accepted. I didn't ask where she was getting them but I seen her mouth moving for long periods of time but all I could hear was the football scores on my phone..... If you want to ask her she is a member and her name is HeidiB. Hope this helps but I'm sure she will help you.
