Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 073 and 074.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thanks for the add ladies!
My daughter is Ship 14 Div 074 so I hope to meet some of you at PIR.  She's going to TX for A-School.  We've only gotten 2 letters each (hubby and I) and one phone call since she left.
Hoping it doesn't snow too much in and out of ORD.  :)

Hello everyone! Hope you and your recruits are doing well!! Does anyone know how & what they are doing this week? My last call was Dec 26 and I got 2 letters last week. He said they would be busy getting ready for firing range and battlestations and also got the Mail PO job which is what he was wanting! :) So I figured between all that is going on he has been really busy, just curious if anyone has heard anything?

Hello!

My last call was on the 26th as well....Ive gotten letters since but thats about it...It'd be great to get a phonecall, he mentioned getting oral surgery this week so I just wanna hear his voice and know that everything went well...On a positive note Ive been so excited with all the trip planning that my days are flying by! =0)

Praying we hear from our SRs soon!!! have a great day!

Mine has to get a wisdom tooth taken out this week :( maybe, HOPEFULLY, they will be able to call afterwards, I really hope so. The sound of his voice is would make it soo much easier to get through these next few weeks. Im glad your days are flying by :) Im not sure if Im going to be able to make it to PIR..I want to soo bad but not giving up hope yet lol Im just so ready for him to be in A school lol

Praying also! Thanks and have a great day as well!! :)

Mine had his wisdom teeth taken out a few weeks ago. As a mom I thought why am I finding out about it after the fact.. I wanted to nurse him back to health like I did for my daughter. As a future Sailor, they took out his teeth, gave him some meds and sent him back to his ship. It wasnt a big deal for him. He did not make a call prior or after. I am slowly getting used to all this not knowing stuff. When he is on a sub, I wont know a lot for a long period of time. Boot camp is training for the family as well as my son.

This past Wed was the first one since he left that I did not get a letter. I know he is probably busy so I am using the no news is good news rule here.

Hope to meet everyone soon!!

I dont know if my son had his out or not but guess I will find out soon. I got a call yesterday to gather info for him for his security check to get his clearance before A-school. It was good to hear his voice and can't wait to give him a big ole hug!

Hello Ladies!!

Another Friday down....cant believe its so close!!!

Has anyone received phone calls??? Ive only received one real phone call this whole time and its horrible...Im reading about so many other divisions making phone calls throughout the weeks so Im curious as to what's going on...

Im staying positive though, just counting down the days....

Have a great day!

Good Morning! I received a call last night from my SR but it was the one to get more info for security clearance so it was scripted and not what I would call a regular call. In his words...we had to keep it professional but I did get in how are you doing and a couple of love you very much. He sounded good tho. Hope you get on soon even if it has to be kept 'professional' because just that little bit of contact was better than no contact! Just hang in there cause we only have 11 more days!! Yeah!!!!

Thx Tnnavymom!! So glad he sounded good...I know that "no news is good news" its just rough sometimes especially with a little guy who misses his daddy terribly...

11 days is right!! Whooooo Hoooooo!!!

Hello all! I hope everyone has a wonderful & safe weekend and travels!! Has anyone recieved their "I'm a sailor" call from ship 14 div 074 yet? Im trying to wait patiently but Im just too excited lol

I got the call..he's a sailor!! :0) I can't stop smiling! I am soo proud of him and all he has & will accomplish on this wonderful new adventure :0)
