Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 081 and 082

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

You are in the correct group. :)

Hi, I am also very new to this site.  However, I have been reading some very helpful information.  My son is on Ship 04 Div 082, PIR 1/13/14 but I have not heard anything from him since early Dec.  Last time I talked with him, he was attending swimming classes twice a day. Can someone send me a private message to let me know the date of Battle Stations 21 for 04/082 Div?  I have very strong faith that our recruits will pass all requirements and became Navy sailors  this week.  Best wishes to all.

Angie, be sure to stay on the main 01/31 PIR page too!  Glad you finally found us!  I know you will have a sailor by this time next week, but glad you are here.  Please look at the info posted in the PAGES section on the main PIR page (right side of the page, under the MEMBERS PHOTO BOX).  We think you should be getting a very special call from your new sailor the day before PIR!

Awesome! Thank you! Nervous wreck. My son has had a chest cold most of BC spent 2 days in his rack about 2 weeks ago. I have looked thru comments for BS21 night. I apologize if if I missed any posting sharing that day/night. When? He has not yet passed his run time. But we havent heard from him so no news is good news I know.

We can't post the BattleStations dates on these pages or FB pages (only private message).  So you wouldn't have seen posts.  Not sure when his final PFA (fitness test) is/was....so can't advise you on whether he passed or not...but if you haven't gotten a call from him, that is a good sign so far!  I will send you the info on the night he will do BattleStations in a friend request....don't hit ACCEPT or the message goes away.

Can you message me for Bs too please - havein't had a chance to talk to him since early Jan except for letters and a beautiful fb post yesterday.  I would love to know BS happens.  Thanks!!

Hello Ladies, I've been so worried...haven't heard from my son in 4 wks...he's in ship 04 div 82...can someone please explain battlestation to me??? I plan to be at graduation on Friday 1/31/14..."
Hi, MaDukes, my son is in ship 04 div 081, a brother division of your son's div 082. I've read in these posts that brother divisions train together. I also did not get any calls or letters until last Friday, received his letter. My son said they are doing good but were really busy. They had an athletic event called captain's cup yesterday and my son said they placed 3rd. As a reward, they had 2 free hours of computer use yesterday, and I had a short chat with my son. Battle station is their final test and it is scheduled close to their graduation date. Once they pass this test, your son should be able to call you announcing the "I am a sailor" call!
Hope to see you friday rejoicing with our sons! Safe travels.
Hi Momisiops, thanks for the info...I can rest somewhat tonight. I'm traveling from Atlanta on Thursday. Look forward to seeing you rejoicing with our sons! Again, Thanks!
I was watching the video archive of the PIR from 1/24/14, can't help but cry as see the new sailors all decked in their gala uniforms and you can hear their loved ones cheering loudly as their sailors marched into the drill hall. I hope I don't cry as much on friday-- tears of joy!

Wow - that is good news!  Will look for you on Thursday or Friday - Can find me my husband is tall, almost bald with a pony tail - I am crying already!!!  Just printing my gates passes so that I don't forget since we are leaving on Wed.

Thanks for the good news!! Praying for all our SRs!!!
