Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 095 and 096.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi ladies, have any of you made your reservations yet?  And, the most important question...has anyone gotten a phone call yet?  I received two letters (written the same day), but I'm hoping to get another letter today :)

Hope everyone had a safe and happy new year.

I've gotten a handful of letters... T says they should be able to start making phone calls soon...

Fingers crossed!

Hello Everybody! My son is in this DIV as well. I have so far received 2 letters and one phone call. He said their phone privileges were suppose to be 1 hour but they got in trouble so they were only allowed 20 minutes. Of course its freezing and he said that he is always COLD! He's a Florida boy!

Hi Moms, I got a call yesterday :)  Was SO good to hear his voice...I miss him so MUCH.  He was fighting a cold, could hear it in his voice.  He hates BC and misses his family...I reminded him that no one ever said BC would be fun.  He even said that he missed hearing the corny Good Morning song I used to sing to him :)  He said he is making friends in his division.

...just wanted to share...

so happy for you that you got a phone call still aiting for my husband to call! thank you for sharing !

Husband is currently on ship 13 ! how is every ones loved one doing?

how many of you have received phone calls?

My son was very frustrated, originally he should have had 44 minutes for the call...not that he would have EVER stayed on the call that long, but something happened and they lost 24 minutes.  I would have love 44 minutes...but I'm just happy he called at all.

jacintaaradanasSHIP13DIV096 - I hope that you get to hear from your husband soon!!

I didn't get a call either. No idea why. I am hoping he was on watch or something. @jacintaaradanas Did you? Seems everyone did but me :(

i havent either :( its okay im sure theyre extremely busy. i have my  phoen right by me though all of the time! seems like every one did but us lol

Just be prepared....I can see how people get addicted to drugs.  When I saw that 847 area code on my phone, my heart was beating so fast I thought it would come out of my chest!!  I had him on speaker phone so that my mom and I could both talk to him.  I was so excited and happy!!  But when we hung up, my heart dropped - mom and I both cried!!  All I could think is just give me another minute....For about an hour after our phone call, I just wanted to curl in a ball and cry....talking to him was great, but it reminded me just how much I miss him.  What a roller coaster of emotions!!

So, I think that was our only call - I think the next one is the "I'm a sailor" call....guess it's back to counting down the Fridays.  This take TGIF to a whole new level!!

what divisionis your loved one in?
