Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 099 and 100.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My SR is Ship 13 Div 099

hello kathybship13div099, my son is also in ship 13 div 099. I am looking forward to graduation. so many things to remember. are you going to pir? where are you staying? we are thinking of navy lodge as we have friends that have stayed there. Not sure how far in advance to book air and hotel.

My SR is also in Ship 13 Div 099. I am so very excited for PIR. I am trying to turn my tears from missing him into tears of joy and excitement, maybe they are both. I'm getting there. We just decided to make reservations at the Residence Inn for Thurs night & Sat night. They have free cancellation up to 4:00 day of check-in. I am sure most of them do. Mention the NAVY Grad and you save $5.00 (every little bit helps). My quote was $164.00/night--YIKES. How did you fare over Christmas? I was kind of a wreck and still working on it. I had this silly thought that they might get a 20 second call or something so I frantically kept my phone in my hand. We will get through this!

make sure to look around, hotels really vary in prices. we are going to arrive on the 7th and leave on the 10th, hopefully we can have friday and saturday to spend with our son. Have you gotten a letter? I havent and its making me crazy. christmas was too quiet, i find myself shopping and tearing up as I go thru the grocery store, we dont buy as much any more. I thought we might get a call but then again he did say 3-4 when he got there. I know, I work at night and hope I dont miss his call. Be well and stay strong, they are ok.

Something I've done that my grandson liked is to send a self-addressed stamped envelope. I don't send one every day since I know he can only write maybe once a week.  I have also sent a funny questionaire for him to answer the boxes of yes, no, or maybe.  That way I get my questions answered.

How are you holding up? The holidays just werent the same for us nor for our son, as he stated in his letters. To our surprise we got two letters from him yesterday. says the place is really unclean and alot of them are sick, no surprise there. Well just wanted to drop a note. Hope your well.

My son is Ship 13 Div 099, we are coming from Fort Lauderdale, looking at all of the options for hotel and shuttles!
