Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 097 and 098.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

FTLW...thank you for creating this site for us to be able to connect with other family members who have SR's on ship 14/ div 097&098. As mentioned above, our SR's are becoming fast friends so it would be nice for us to connect as well.

Hi, my SR is on ship 14 in div 097.  I'd like to connect with others too.

Hi gma, either our SR's have a really small group or everyone is using Facebook to connect. I have found some others families but not very many.

Hi TMacs Mom, Happy New Year.  I haven't looked at FaceBook, just waiting to here something. Thank You for posting here.  It is good to see someone within the ship.

My daughter is div 098 havent heard anything yet.  Has anyone else had any mail or calls?

Nothing yet...patiently waiting.

Hi Angelsmom, I love this site.  It is very helpful in getting informed and finding information.

I'm planning on going to Sarge's meet and greet.

Looking forward to know you too :)

My SR is on ship 14 and in div 097 and I haven't heard a word :(.

Hi HeyZeus, I haven't heard anything either, but I know they are in good hands. Hopefully soon.

Hi my female SR is on this ship14 div 097 as well.  Anxiously awaiting some news as to what day they are on, how much they have or haven't done etc.  It is hard waiting, but we all know they are safe, loved, and in good hands. I guess I wonder why all other divisions and their brother divisions have heard but not our division.  Oh well.  No news could be good news.

Haven't heard a word either. Driving me a little crazy! But like you said no news is good news hopefully.

My daughter is Ship 14 div 098...haven't heard from her yet...getting anxious
